Dr. Irina Lagutina:
I became manager of the Taylor lab at UNM in February 2015. I have more than 20-years of experience in the fields of Molecular Biology, Genetics and Tumor Cell Biology. I got my MS in Biochemistry in 1991 from the Moscow State University and my Ph.D. in molecular biology in 1998 from Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences. After defending my PhD I moved to the USA for 5 years Postdoctoral training at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) and after completing it in 2003 started my employment as a Laboratory Supervisor at the Department of Genetics at the same hospital. I left St. Jude in October of 2014 and moved to Albuquerque, NM.
In August, 2016, Irina moved to a position with the UNM Cancer Center.
