Fungi for the Future FundThis endowed fund has been established to support research that addresses ways that fungi may impact environmental challenges in the Southwest. Examples include the roles of fungi in forest health, reforestation, myco-remediation, water quality and sustainable food production. Funds will be used to purchase research supplies & equipment and provide stipends to undergraduate, graduate or postdoctoral researchers. The supported research is to be carried out in the Department of Biology, College of Arts and Sciences.
The fund is administered by the non-profit UNM Foundation and donations are tax deductible. Donations may be made to support current research expenditures or may be added to the core endowment.
